Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actor who became famous in the 90s as Hugh Grant's partner, is an English model. In the 1990s, when Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral became a worldwide sensation, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. The outfit received immediate media attention. One of the highlights of Hurley's professional journey has been her involvement with the cosmetics company Estee Lauder. Estee Lauder offered Hurley her modeling opportunity when she was just 29 and has used as models for the products it sells including perfumes such as Sensuous Intuition as well as Pleasures since 1995. Her most well-known work is her role as Vanessa Kensington, in the famous spy film International Man of Mystery (2007) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Perry gained more attention several months later with the single I Kissed a Girl an assertive ode to sexual arousal accompanied by an electronic-pop beat with a sharp edge. The track quickly generated controversy as some critics derided it as a proponent of gay relationships and others charged that the explicit scenario the song depicted sparked male fantasies of female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl's combination of sensuality, polished music and a catchy chorus helped the song become a top 10 hit across a range of countries. It also helped Perry sell more albums, including The One of the Boys (2007). Hot N Cold, Perry's bouncy and sharply-tongued album with its second top-selling single, proved popular.
